Hey all. We recorded basic tracks on the Ameegos song this morning, and it kicks major bootay! It's one of the best soudning songs I've recorded in some time, even though on a small budget. Thanks a million to Tawanda and MacMan for putting up most of the funds to get us this far. I have to pay the musicians, and also some studio time, since I'm only really an employee of the studio. Some productions, I split 50-50 with my partner, who's the studio owner, but this song is all mine, so I wanted to pay him a little too, for the studio time(which usually goes for between $20-$40/hr)
Anyway--I think I have all the Ameegos core members mentioned in the song. (I may have to mention my own ID name somewhere, hmmm) If anyone else wishes to contribute even $10 or more toward the song, that would be soooo cool. The more money there is, the better the song will be. Just the way it is. I started off writing this song as a no-budget cheapo song, and it has just grown from there. I'm a semi pro producer/writer here in music city USA, and I usually get about $300-500 pre song to produce & record a demo like this. This song is sounding GRREAT, with only $200 into it so far.
When will it be ready? I can't say for sure, but it may be as soon as friday, if all goes well.
